Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Teasynaer marketing and documentation website at teasynaer.dev (the "Site") and the live demo of the Teasynaer application hosted by us (the "Demo"). Together, the Site and the Demo are the "Service".

These Terms do not govern the Teasynaer software itself. Teasynaer is open-source software that you can download and self-host. When you self-host it, the software is licensed to you under the MIT Licence (see the LICENSE file in the public repository), and Allotment Technology Ltd processes none of your data. These Terms apply only to the Site and the Demo that we operate. See section 2 (What these Terms cover) and section 6 (Intellectual property) for the distinction.

1. Agreement and eligibility

By accessing or using the Site or the Demo, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. You must be 18 or over to use the Demo.

If you use the Service on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these Terms on its behalf.

2. What these Terms cover

These Terms cover only the Site (teasynaer.dev) and the Demo that we host and operate.

They do not cover:

  • The self-hosted Teasynaer software. If you download, install, or run Teasynaer yourself, your rights and obligations for that software are set by the MIT Licence in the public repository, not by these Terms. Under the MIT Licence the software is provided "as is"; when you self-host, your data stays on your own infrastructure and we process none of it.
  • Third-party services or websites you connect to, test against, or link out to. Those are governed by their own terms.

Where these Terms and the MIT Licence might appear to overlap, the MIT Licence governs the software and these Terms govern the Site and the Demo.

3. The live demo — what it is

The Demo is the real Teasynaer application, deployed on our own infrastructure behind access controls, provided so that you can evaluate how the product works. To keep the Demo open and low-friction, it works as follows:

  • No signup. There are no individual accounts, and no sign-in or sign-out. Access is anonymous.
  • Shared, ephemeral sessions. Demo sessions are shared and temporary. Content you create may be visible to, and editable by, other visitors using the Demo at the same time.
  • Reset nightly, without notice. All Demo data — including any QA runs, screenshots, and screen recordings — is wiped nightly on a routine schedule and may also be reset at any other time without notice. Do not treat the Demo as storage. Keep your own copy of anything you want to retain.
  • Evaluation only. The Demo is provided for evaluation and demonstration. It is not a production service, is not backed up, and carries no service levels or availability commitments.

Capture and evidence in the Demo

Within the Demo you can create QA runs and upload evidence such as screenshots and a screen recording. Please note, honestly:

  • Capture is manual and permission-gated. Any screen or screenshot capture is initiated by you and gated by your browser's own permission prompts. Nothing is captured automatically or in the background.
  • There is no automatic redaction. The Demo does not perform pixel-level redaction or any automatic masking of captured images or recordings. Whatever is on screen when you capture is what gets uploaded.
  • Do not upload sensitive or real personal data. Because Demo content is shared and wiped nightly, and because there is no redaction, you must not upload confidential information, credentials, or real personal data (yours or anyone else's) into the Demo. Use test or dummy data only. See our Acceptable Use Policy and Privacy notice.

4. Evaluation only — no reliance, and authorisation for testing

The Demo is for trying out Teasynaer, not for doing real QA work.

  • No reliance. Do not rely on the Demo, its output, or its availability for any real testing, release decision, compliance activity, or other business purpose. Results in the Demo may be lost at the next reset and are provided for illustration only.
  • Authorisation to test third-party sites. Teasynaer is a tool for testing web applications. You must only use the Demo to capture, record, or run QA against a website or application that you own or are clearly authorised to test. You must not use the Demo to capture, probe, load, or record any third-party site without the owner's permission. You are solely responsible for having the necessary rights and authorisations, and for complying with the target site's terms and applicable law.

5. Acceptable use

Your use of the Service is subject to our Acceptable Use Policy (AUP), which forms part of these Terms. In summary, and without limiting the AUP, you must not:

  • use the Service for anything unlawful, harmful, abusive, or infringing;
  • upload confidential information, credentials, or real personal data into the Demo (see section 3);
  • use the Demo to capture, test, or generate traffic against sites you are not authorised to test (see section 4);
  • attempt to circumvent access controls, authentication, rate limits, or security measures;
  • disrupt, overload, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or the infrastructure it runs on; or
  • upload malware or content that is unlawful, offensive, or violates the rights of others.

We may remove content and suspend or withdraw access if we reasonably believe the AUP or these Terms have been breached.

6. Intellectual property

There are two different things here, with two different sets of rights:

  • The Teasynaer software (the application source code) is open source and licensed under the MIT Licence. The LICENSE file records "Copyright (c) 2026 Allotment Technology Ltd". Your rights to use, copy, modify, and distribute the software are set out in that licence, available in the public repository. Nothing in these Terms limits or replaces the rights granted to you under the MIT Licence for the software.
  • The Site and its content — including the text, documentation, layout, graphics, design, and the "Teasynaer" and "Allotment Technology" names and logos (unregistered trade marks) — are owned by or licensed to Allotment Technology Ltd and are not covered by the MIT Licence. Except as permitted by the MIT Licence for the software, or as needed to view the Site normally in a browser, you may not copy, reproduce, or reuse the Site's content or our brand assets without our permission.

Any content you upload into the Demo remains yours; you grant us the limited permission needed to host, display, and process it for the purpose of operating the Demo, until it is wiped.

7. Availability, and our right to change, reset, or withdraw the Demo

The Service is provided on an "as available" basis. We do not guarantee that the Site or the Demo will be available, uninterrupted, or error-free.

We may, at any time and without notice or liability:

  • reset, wipe, or clear Demo data (including on the routine nightly schedule);
  • change, limit, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Site or the Demo; or
  • withdraw the Demo entirely.

The Demo is offered free of charge and for evaluation, and we may end it at any time.

8. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service (including the Demo) is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular purpose, uninterrupted or error-free operation, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Demo's results are accurate, complete, or fit for any real testing or business purpose, or that Demo content will be retained. This section does not affect the MIT Licence's own "as is" terms for the self-hosted software, and it does not exclude anything that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

9. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so — including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, and for any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law (including mandatory consumer protections where they apply).

Subject to that, and to the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, loss of profits, loss of goodwill, or business interruption, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service; and
  • because the Demo is provided free of charge, our total aggregate liability to you for any and all claims arising out of or in connection with the Service is limited to GBP 50, except where such a limit is not permitted by law.

10. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify us against reasonable losses, damages, and costs we incur arising from your misuse of the Service, the content you upload into the Demo, your use of the Demo to test sites you were not authorised to test, or your breach of these Terms or the AUP — except to the extent such losses are caused by our own breach, negligence, or wilful misconduct. This clause is intended to be light-touch and does not affect your rights under mandatory law.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes we will publish a new version with a new effective date and a changelog entry. Your continued use of the Service after an update takes effect means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree, stop using the Service.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections where applicable.
