This notice explains the cookies we use on the Teasynaer website (teasynaer.dev) and the hosted live demo, and how you can control them. It's short, because we don't do much today: one strictly-necessary cookie, no tracking, and no advertising. Product analytics is planned but not yet live (see section 6).

1. Who we are

Allotment Technology Ltd is the data controller for personal data collected through teasynaer.dev and the live demo. We're a UK software studio registered in England and Wales (company number 16925574), sole director Adam Boon, registered at 71–75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ. Our ICO data-protection registration is ZC092549. You can reach us at hello@allotmentology.tech.

2. What this notice covers

This notice covers only the public teasynaer.dev site and the live demo we host. It does not cover the self-hosted Teasynaer software. When you run Teasynaer on your own machine or server, it's yours under the MIT licence: your data stays on your infrastructure, we set no cookies, and we process no data. There's nothing in this notice for self-hosters to act on.

3. The short version

• The public site pages set no cookies at all.
• The live demo sets one cookie — a strictly-necessary session cookie so the app works while you click around.
• We set no advertising, tracking, cross-site or social-media cookies, on any page.
• Product analytics is planned but not yet live. Today, no analytics cookies are set and no analytics events are collected (see section 6).
• Because the demo session cookie is the only cookie today and it is strictly necessary, there is no cookie banner yet. When analytics launches it will use cookies, so we will add a consent banner at that point.

4. The cookie we set

The only cookie is set inside the live demo app, once your demo session starts:

In any event, the demo is reset every night, which ends all sessions.

The demo is anonymous with no accounts, so there is no sign-in or sign-out — the cookie's lifetime is governed purely by session end, inactivity, its maximum lifetime, and the nightly reset.

Technical settings: the cookie is HttpOnly (not readable by JavaScript), Secure (only sent over HTTPS), SameSite=Lax, and scoped to this site. It exists solely to run the service you asked for.

5. Cookies we don't set (today)

Today we don't set, and we don't let third parties set:

• advertising or marketing cookies;
• cross-site or behavioural tracking cookies;
• social-media or "share button" cookies;
• third-party analytics cookies;
• a consent-management / cookie-banner cookie (we don't run a banner yet).

We don't sell your data, and we don't build advertising profiles.

This will change when analytics launches. The planned analytics (PostHog, EU region — see section 6) is cookie-based, so it will set analytics cookies. When that happens we will only set them after you consent via a cookie banner, and we will update this list and section 6 accordingly.

6. Analytics — planned, not yet live

We plan to measure how the site and demo are used with PostHog (EU region, PostHog Cloud), a third-party analytics provider acting as our sub-processor. It is not self-hosted.

This is planned, not yet live: today, no analytics events are collected and no analytics cookies are set.

When it launches, the analytics will follow the Allotment house approach — standard, cookie-based PostHog. That means it will store and read cookies on your device. Because analytics cookies are not strictly necessary, we will set them only after you consent through a cookie banner, and this Cookie Notice will be updated to list the specific analytics cookies and to name PostHog (EU) as a sub-processor.

Separately from analytics, our servers keep ordinary technical logs (for example IP address, user agent, and timestamps) to run and secure the service; our lawful basis for that is our legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR. See the Privacy Notice for the full picture, including the lawful basis that will apply to analytics once it is live.

7. Why there's no cookie banner (yet)

Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR), you generally have to consent before a site stores or reads information on your device — unless the cookie is strictly necessary to provide a service you've actively asked for (regulation 6(4)). Our one cookie, the demo session cookie, is strictly necessary in exactly that sense, so it's exempt from the consent requirement. Because it is the only cookie we set today, there is nothing optional to consent to — so we don't show a banner.

This is a current position, not a permanent one. When the planned analytics launches, it will set cookies that are not strictly necessary, so we will add a consent banner at that point and set analytics cookies only with your consent.

8. How to control cookies in your browser

You're always in control of cookies through your browser:

• View and delete cookies: most browsers let you see stored cookies and delete them under Settings → Privacy. Deleting teasynaer_session will simply end your demo session.
• Block cookies: you can block first-party cookies for teasynaer.dev, but the live demo then won't be able to keep your session going — the demo needs that one cookie to function. The public marketing and docs pages work fine either way.
• Private / incognito windows clear the cookie automatically when you close them.

9. A note about the demo

The live demo is a shared, anonymous, throwaway environment: sessions aren't tied to an account, everyone is using the same space, and everything is wiped nightly without notice. Please don't upload real personal data, confidential material, or sensitive screenshots or screen recordings into it. Capture in Teasynaer is manual and browser-permission-gated, and the demo does not redact what you upload — so treat it as a public sandbox. 10. Changes

If we change what cookies we use, we'll update this notice with a new version and effective date. Material changes will get a changelog entry. In particular, we will update this notice when the planned analytics launches.
